The question

The customer contact centre of De Bijenkorf experienced a period of major changes. Recently they took on all employees and sought a concrete method to allow team leaders and planners to make their own decisions about their future service. An important way for them to translate the strategy into daily practice

Together with their agile coach, we designed two active sessions on strategy, collaboration and culture. The first session was about understanding and living through the strategy. The second focused on joint agreements and putting the vision into practice.

The result

  • The group had a clear picture of the future and how the strategy should be translated into practice.
  • The new plans better reflect ongoing work and responsibilities.
  • Participants together determined the culture needed for this ambition.
  • The group made concrete agreements on the way in which they work together.

All this provided clarity, structure and more ownership within the team. Thus, the customer contact centre got direction and a shared story that connects them with each other and with the vision.

My Pham Bijenkorf

'I usually facilitate these kinds of pathways myself, but the thoughtful approach of Groupmapping visibly lifted the sessions to a higher level. Everyone I worked with was able, involved and pleasant to work with.'
