We developed with the Police Academy a change management course for National Police team chiefs, in which they strengthen their leadership and build sustainable team strength.

About National Police

With over 60,000 employees, the police are the largest employer in the Netherlands. Since 2013, its structure has changed from 25 autonomous regional forces to one organisation in which team chiefs lead teams of 75 to 200 people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The question

Team chiefs in the Police face the challenge of translating the organisation's mission into practice in a constantly changing world. How do we support them with knowledge and competences in the field of change management, so that they can keep their be able to develop leadership and function optimally in a demanding environment that requires continuous organisational change?

The answer

Together with the Police Academy, GroupMapping developed a course in which team chiefs work on develop leadership, structuring change management and mobilising their teams and stakeholders.

The course rests on three pillars: learning together, working from your own practice and individual tailor-made coaching. Thanks to peer learning and community building, strong team force and a close-knit group. Work is done on current change issues, keeping the load limited and the impact high. With personal coaching, participants grow in their leadership and strengthen the organisational culture of the police.
