Together with employees, a new, proprietary way of working was designed and successfully introduced. Thanks to co-creation, broad support, focus and energy were created to build on the future with confidence.
AMS-IX, the Amsterdam Internet Exchange, connects large corporate customers to the internet. It is the largest hub in the Netherlands with more than 800 connection points. It employs many specialised staff and is home to more than 30 different nationalities.
Under the motto ‘A better world through better internet: how?’, we developed a clear vision and strategy together with AMS-IX, focusing on growth, optimisation and innovation. Then the question was: how do you translate that vision into a structured process-based approach, without losing your own culture? In other words: how do you make a new way of working ‘your own’?
Together with staff, we organised a number of design sessions. Here, the contours were outlined for a new way of working. New staff were recruited and included in the change. We supported the introduction of the new way of working with a HyperCare period to dot the ‘i’.
The result? The new design was fully embraced by the entire organisation, thanks to the fact that the design was AMS-IX's own. Our collaborative, people-oriented and personal approach allowed the organisation to start working with confidence on its goals for the future: there is now plenty of focus, energy - and a clear plan for that.
