Bart Roestenberg

Our partner, colleague, friend and ‘wise owl’.

It is with great sadness and deep respect that we bid farewell to our valued partner and colleague, Bart Roestenberg.

Bart was a colleague from the very beginning of our company. From 2010, he helped build the foundation of our organisation as a partner. He was involved in countless assignments and left his mark with many clients. But above all, Bart was there for us.

Bart always practised his profession with dedication and love. He dedicated himself to passing on his knowledge and skills to others, something he always did quietly and with admirable patience.

 
Within the team, Bart was known as ‘the wise owl’. He was a beacon of calm and reflection. Whenever someone got stuck or faced complex choices, Bart was invariably sought out for his wise counsel and advice. He oversaw the whole picture, asked the right questions, got us thinking and helped us get back on track.
 
Despite his illness, Bart continued to make himself valuable to GroupMapping and our clients for many years, with admirable dedication. His perseverance and resilience are an inspiration to us all.
 
We will miss not only the craftsman, but especially the wonderful human being. Bart had a subtle and often dry sense of humour, sharp and just at the right moment. He was also a true bon vivant who could intensely enjoy the good life.
 
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and loved ones at this difficult time. We wish them much strength in coping with this great loss.
 
Thank you for everything, Bart. We enjoyed working together on assignments and our business, the conversations and discussions we had, we laughed, ate and drank together. It was great to have you in our midst. We are going to miss you.
